Here at Truly Amazing, we believe the Holy Scriptures are sufficient for all matters of life and godliness. We are a Bible believing, Christ-centered ministry dedicated to helping women find hope, healing, and transformation by grounding their lives in the unchanging truth of God's Word. We believe that by studying the lives of the many amazing and complex women throughout the Bible, we can see God's grace and sovereignty at work in every human experience, both in triumph and in deep brokenness.
Our desire is to equip and disciple women with biblical wisdom, challenging them to see their circumstances through the lens of God's perfect plan. We are committed to speaking the truth in love within a trusted, Christ-centered relationship, for the purpose of true, lasting change.
Our Approach: Shaped by the Women of Scripture
The Bible is filled with women whose stories - of faith, doubt, strength, and weakness— provide a powerful and relatable framework for Christian living. Our counseling, teaching, and discipleship are not based on modern psychological theories, but on the profound examples of real women wrestling with real-life issues. We look to their journeys to guide and encourage us today.
Eve: The Genesis of Our Struggle and Hope
From Eve, we learn of the universal temptation to question God's word and follow our own counsel. Her fall brought sin into the world, but God immediately promised a Savior who would crush the serpent's head (Genesis 3:15). Her story reminds us of the reality of sin, but also the immediate promise of gospel hope and redemption.
Sarah: Trusting the God of the Impossible
Sarah's story is one of a flawed, but ultimately faithful, woman who laughed in disbelief at God's promise of a son in her old age. Through her, we learn that God's timing is perfect, and nothing is too hard for the Lord. Her story provides rich lessons on patience, trusting God's promises in the midst of waiting, and the consequences of trying to "help God" with our own plans.
Hannah: Pouring Out Your Soul to the Lord
In her deep anguish over barrenness, Hannah models for us a profound and desperate prayer life. Her story teaches us to take our deepest hurts and disappointments directly to God, pouring out our souls before Him in persistent prayer. Her example demonstrates that even without an immediate change in circumstances, prayer can bring a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).
Ruth: Clinging to God and His People
The loyal devotion of Ruth shows us a tenacious faith that perseveres in hardship and grief. A foreigner and a widow, Ruth clung to her mother-in-law Naomi and placed her hope in the God of Israel. Her story beautifully illustrates God's loving providence, showing how faithfulness in small things leads to an unfolding of His divine purpose, weaving a story of redemption and hope.
Rahab: Redemption for the Most Unlikely
As a Canaanite prostitute in Jericho, Rahab's life testifies to God's incredible grace and power to redeem the most unlikely of people. By faith, she risked everything to protect God's spies, and in return, God saved her and her family. Her inclusion in the lineage of Christ proves that no past is too stained for God's redemptive plan.
